Toroidal dipolar supersolid with a rotating weak link

چکیده
Ring-shaped superfluids with weak links provide a perfect environment for studying persistent currents and dynamic stirring protocols. Here, we investigate the effects of weak-link system on dipolar supersolids. By calculating ground-state energy at fixed angular momenta, find that metastable may exist in supersolid phase near superfluid transition point. When link rapidly enough, show vortices can enter supersolid. These vortex entries cause slips, emitting solitonic excitations interfere crystalline structure supersolid, leading to continuous melting recrystallization droplets. Finally, examine release vortex-carrying supersolids from trap, observing released density exhibits discrete associated modulation central hole resulting core.

متن کاملStable Dilute Supersolid of Two-Dimensional Dipolar Bosons.
We consider two-dimensional bosonic dipoles oriented perpendicularly to the plane. On top of the usual two-body contact and long-range dipolar interactions we add a contact three-body repulsion as expected, in particular, for dipoles in the bilayer geometry with tunneling. The three-body repulsion is crucial for stabilizing the system, and we show that our model allows for stable continuous spa...
متن کاملQuasi-toroidal oscillations in rotating relativistic stars
Quasi-toroidal oscillations in slowly rotating stars are examined in the framework of general relativity. The oscillation frequency to first order of the rotation rate is not a single value even for uniform rotation unlike the Newtonian case. All the oscillation frequencies of the r-modes are purely neutral and form a continuous spectrum limited to a certain range. The allowed frequencies are d...
متن کاملQuasars: a supermassive rotating toroidal black hole interpretation
A supermassive rotating toroidal black hole (TBH) is proposed as the fundamental component of quasars and other jet-producing active galactic nuclei. Rotating protogalaxies gather matter from the central gaseous region leading to the birth of massive toroidal stars, the internal nuclear reactions of which proceed very rapidly. Once the nuclear fuel is spent, gravitational collapse produces a sl...
